REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2017-190

AN ORDINANCE RE-ESTABLISHING TRICYCLE ROUTES IN JARO DISTRICT,

ILOILOCITY

Sponsored by Hon. R Leone N. Gerochi, duly seconded by Hon. Reyland V.

Hervias, Ho11. Jose Efrain G. Trefias III and Hon. Lady Julie Grace L. Baronda

WHEREAS, the Local Government Code of 1991 provides for a smooth transfer of the
power and responsibility of the LTFRB over tricycle for hire to the local government unit,
subject to DOTC guidelines;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Iloilo City has developed a digital

repository of all the relevant infonnation concerning tricycle units and their operators that have
been given a franchise to operate within Iloilo City;

WHEREAS, consultation meeting for the re-establishment of tricycle ro~te!? in Iloilo City
were held to verify and rectify records to adapt what is presently existing and what should be
modified.

NOW, THEREFORE, let it be ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of

Iloilo, that:

Section 1. - The existing/modified tricycle routes in Jaro District are as follows:

- "From corner Tagbak Metropolis passing the whole stretch of Metropolis

Avenue, make a U-turn towards Pliilippine Science High School and another one
towards Brgy. Bito-on and vice-versa"

(b) NEW SAN ISIDRO RELOCATION SITE

- "From its point of origin at New San Isidro Relocation Site, Tabuc Suba, Jaro
Iloilo City to Villa Consolacion beside Food Wealth Poultry Supply and Prestige
Car point of destination and likewise parking area; it shall pass through Don
Delfin Avenue (abandoned road), Tabuc Suba Jlaya, Bankers Village, Yen Street,
Dollar Street, Villa Consolacion, Petals, Calachuchi Street, Sampaguita Street,
Crusado Street and PESO Street and vice-versa"

Section 2. - Section I, Paragraph D ( Ledesco Villlage, Brgy. Tabuc Suba) of Regulation

Ordinance No. 2017-055, is hereby repealed as the route of Ledesco Village is transferred to the
re-establishment of tricycle route is Jaro District, Iloilo City;

Section 3. - Attached herein is a copy of sketch of the above stated tricycle routes which
will serve as an integral part of this ordinance;

Section 4. - Let a copy of this ordinance be furnished to the Public Safety and
Transportation Management Office (PSTMO), Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO)
and the association presidents of tricycle operators and drivers of Jaro District for infonnation
and guidance;

Section 5. - This ordinance repeals, modifies or amends any existing ordinance

inconsistent herewith;

Section 6. - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
