ted to the RRU via fiber or local connection. The RRU performs
radio modulation, amplification and filtration on the signal, an
then the signal is radiated through the antenna and received
by access terminals.
 Reverse Service
The antenna receives the reverse service that from access ter-
minals, and passes the service to the RRU. The RRU performs
radio demodulation on the service. The demodulated signal is
transmitted to ZXMBW B9100 through fiber or local connec-
tion. The ZXMBW B9100 decodes the signal, and sends the
signal to core network via R6 interface.

R6 Interface
Signal The signaling between the BS and the ASN-GW is transmitted
Transmitting through the R6 Channel. It adopts a format of User Datagram
Mode Protocol (UDP) plus the format defined by the NWG stage 3. En-
capsulation channel protocol bears media layer data. R6 signaling
bearer is UDP R6 data bearer can be Generic Routing Encapsulation
(GRE), Multiple Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Virtual Local
Area Network (VLAN). ASN-GW terminates the R6 channel from
the BS. R6 channel can be realized through different Encapsula-
tion techniques GRE, MPLS or VLAN and the channel granularities
may differ. The data routing function of R6 supports negotiation
between the encapsulation protocol and the channel granularity.

PUSC - Partial Usage of Sub channels
QoS - Quality of Service
The performance specification of a communications channel or sys-
tem. QOS may be quantitatively indicated by channel or system
performance parameters, such as signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), bit
error ratio (BER), message throughput rate, and call blocking prob-
ability. QOS is a subjective rating of telephone communications
quality in which listeners judge transmissions by qualifiers, such
as excellent, good, fair, poor, or unsatisfactory.
RRU - Remote Radio Unit
rtPS - real-time Polling Service
SS - Subscriber Station
TCA - Traffic ChannelAssignment Message
TDD - Time Division Duplex
A transmission method that uses only one channel for transmitting
and receiving, separating them by different time slots. No guard
band is used. This increases spectral efficiency by eliminating the
buffer band, but also increases flexibility in asynchronous applica-
tions. For example, if less traffic travels upstream, the time slice
for that direction can be reduced, and reallocated to downstream
traffic.
TFM - Timing Frequency Module
TLV - Type/Length/Value
TOD - Time of Date
UART - Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter
UDP - User Datagram Protocol
UGS - Unsolicited Grant Service
