Introduction :

The idea of the relation between the brain and the mind is one of the
important challenges that scientists try to think about in the 21st
century. This discovery makes a radical change in the ideation of
conscious being, and it also has effective impact on neuroscience,
metaphysics, and psychology. Even the idea that humans have free
will may prove to be wrong .( James Havis , , 2017)

In the public view many people think that the brain and the mind
are the same thing. scientists, doctors and many other persons
have this credence. People usually use the words "brain" and
"mind" in a indistinguishable way. In fact , "brain" and "mind" are
distinct and different creations.( De Long Douglas,2004)

1.1 WHAT IS THE MIND :

The mind is ''the element of a person that enables them to be

aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the
faculty of consciousness and thought''.( Oxford English Dictionary)
''It is a psychic organ that is attached to the human soul''.( De
Long Douglas ,2004).

1.2 WHAT IS THE BRAIN :

The brain is ''an organ of soft nervous tissue contained in the skull
of vertebrates, functioning as the coordinating centre of sensation
and intellectual and nervous activity''. ( Oxford English Dictionary)
.''The brain is a biochemical organ – a part of the human body''. (
De Long Douglas , The Brain and the Mind ,2004).
1.3 The Difference Between Brain and Mind :

Brain is a group of cells that are found inside the skull and weight
around 1.4 kilograms. The common sense urges that the mind
and all it's surprising powers of feeling and thinking , cannot
consider as being the brain . The dissenting belief that'' minds are
soul'' strongly carried by the large plurality of people who have
theistic religion belief , and also by many other philosophers
since Ploto and Descartes . They believe that the mind might be
neatly related to the brain but stickle that mind and brain are not
similar since they have distinct characteristics .( Thagard ,2010,
p42)
The work of the mind and the brain is similar somehow the work of
the computer. Computer needs hardware to complete it' s function
at the same time the hardware requires software to make it work .
The hardware would be unprofitable without software and the
software cannot be used without hardware . The mind is like the
software and the brain is like the hardware .In fact , the
differentiated between 'mind ' and 'brain' is more complex than
software and hardware. .( controlmind,2018)

The brain is the tangible place where the mind inhabit. It is a

container in which the electronic impulses that create thought are
contained. With the brain people can regulate their moves,
organism, activities and transfer impulses. While the mind is used
in order to think , meditate at what happened, what is planned and
what might be will happen.(Ibid)

''The mind is the manifestations of thought, perception, emotion,

determination, memory and imagination that takes place within the
brain''. The mind provides human the ability to understand
everything around them . Animal are able to interpret their
environments, but they cannot understand them.(Ibid)

Conclusion:
Brain and mind are not the same. The brain is part of the visible,
tangible world of the body. The mind is part of the invisible,
transcendent world of thought, feeling, attitude, belief and
imagination. The brain is the physical organ most associated with
mind and consciousness, but the mind is not confined to the brain.
The mind gives humans the ability to solve complicated problem
which distinct s them from other living things . Mind is the
responsible that makes human understand everything
