Activities:
Pre – lesson 1. Starter – Memory Flash Match
2. Teacher draws a happy face and a sad face on the board.
3. Teacher says “I like cake. (Pupil’s name) what about you?”.
4. Teacher draws a picture of a cake on the board and rub tummy and say “I like cake”.
5. Teacher asks pupils what other food they like. e.g. banana, pizza. (Hinge question)

Lesson Delivery 1. Teacher shows food slides on the board and pre – teach food vocabulary.
2. Pupils say the word in chorus.
3. Pupils look at the picture in their Student’s Books page 46.
4. Pupils say aloud what / who they can see and where they are (in the school canteen).
5. Teacher pre – teach lunchtime and plays the recording.
6. Pupils point to the food and the words when they hear them.
7. Teacher plays the recording again and pupils repeat the words.
8. Pupils listen to and follow the chant in the Student’s Book.
9. Teacher gets pupils into pairs and distributes flashcards of food to each pair.
10. Pupils do the chant again, holding up relevant flashcard when they say the food.
11. Pupils tell teacher which food they like and don’t like.

a) Pupils sit in a circle. Teacher shows 3 flashcards with the sound ‘t’.
b) Teacher says aloud each word and pupils followed.
c) Pupils completed the task in their module page 21 – 24 with guidance.

3. Teacher gets pupils to practise say aloud the prompt.
4. Pupils sit in-group and share in one minute what they have learnt today.
