A JOURNEY BY TRAIN

During the last school vacation my father arranged a tour to Badulla. We went
by train because we have never travelled a long distance by train. My uncle
lives in Badulla. So, we could stay there for two days.

Travelling by train is always more comfortable than travelling by bus. On our

way to Badulla we enjoyed the beautiful scenery on either side of the railway.
We could reach Badulla at about 11.00 a.m.

First, we visited the famous Muthiyangana temple. On the second day my uncle
took us to the Dunhinda water fall. It is the most beautiful waterfall in Sri
Lanka. It was dangerous to bathe near the falls.

It was not only a picnic but also an educational tour. Both families enjoyed the
two days very much.
