The formation of the MLA format

MLA formatting stands for Modern Language Association. It’s an educational tool used

to write essays and research papers. Some of the requirement to be written in MLA format

include: One-inch page margins. Double-spaced paragraphs. A header with author's last name

and page number one-half inch from the top of each page.

The purpose of MLA isn’t to randomly organize words and information, but to organize

them in such a way that the information can specifically be seen as sourced and cited correctly. It

helps in organizing papers written in different formats. If you follow MLA or any other

formatting method, a university can see this format and understand the type of paper being

written, saving everyone time.
