Meet Mrs. Walters
2018-2019 will be my seventeenth year of teaching.

After graduating from UNCC, I began teaching in 2002 at Cornelius Elementary. I

taught 5th grade for 4 years and earned my license to teach Academically Gifted
students.

I then transferred to Iredell-Statesville Schools to help build the gifted program

there. During my three years as an AIG facilitator there I also earned my National
Board Certification and my Master's Degree in teaching.

In 2009 I joined the CMS Talent Development department. I have worked in schools
all around CMS over the past 9 years (Allenbrook, Pineville, River Oaks Academy,
David Cox, Davidson, and Huntersville)
Our Meeting Goals:
Explore how the needs of gifted and high-ability learners
