Release/Return: Town of Canton Court; November 28, 2018 at 1:00pm

Potsdam Police Department received a complaint of an possible intoxicated
driver who reportedly had a child in the vehicle. Patrol responded and located
the vehicle traveling on Market Street. A traffic stop was initiated and contact
was made with the operator. Roadside sobriety tests were conducted which the
subject failed. The subject was also found to be in possession of marihuana.
Narrative: Further investigation revealed a child under the age of 16 was a passenger in the
vehicle. The subject was transported back to the Potsdam Police Department
where he was processed. A subsequent DMV inquiry revealed the subject has a
prior DWI Drug conviction. Judge Morgan arraigned the subject at Canton Town
Court and released him under the supervision of probation to return at a later
date.
