script: The written text of a play
role: a part or character played by an actor or actress
scene: a sequence of continuous action in a play, movie,
opera, or book.
perform: to carry into effect, or act before
film: capture on film as part of a series of moving images;
make a movie of (a story or event)
edit: choose material for a movie and arrange it to form a
coherent whole.
narrator: A person who tells the story or events

This Week’s Objectives
Reading/Writing: Students will begin to analyze
the components of a script and write and film
their own based on the novel, Wonder.
Grammar: Commas for introductory phrases
Math: This week in math we will begin Module 3. In
this module students' understanding of addition and
subtraction of fractions extends from earlier work
with fraction equivalence and decimals. Please
encourage your child to persevere when they come
upon a problem that is difficult at first. As always, we
are continuing to work on writing about math and
thoroughly explaining our steps when solving.
