ABSTRACT

In today’s volatile market environment, mutual funds are looked upon as a transparent and low cost
investment vehicle, which attracts a fair share of investor attention leading to growth of the industry. The
Establishment of Mutual Funds came into existence in India in the year 1963, when the government of
India introduced Unit trust of India, however, with time the structure has completely changed. In this
paper we are studying the current mutual fund scenario, providing an analysis of Global Mutual Fund
Industry and the key issues faced by Indian mutual fund industry.
