After the Task - Reflection


Choose 3 best practices you observed and/or during your time in school. Reflect on these and consider why you would implement
these in a UAE primary classroom in the future. Explain how these practices will affect student learning in a primary class.

1- My first choice is set in the carpet; Teacher says you have five seconds to sit quietly. And keep your hand and feet to you to not
harm anyone. Students learn leadership skills and responsibility to not harm others and sit in the carpet nicely and having space
between each other. In futures, in every classroom, its good strategy because will be more safe and comfortable and students will
be more focused and attention when they sit in front of the carpet. According to Paula “Carpet time allows me to see my kids
demonstrate whatever concepts we are working on and allows positive learning interaction between my students” (Glass, 2015).

2- The Second choice is, reading place the benefit to read the story to improve students’ abilities of speech and grammar. In the
futures, every Thursday students have a reading class they read story’s that they like from reading place and they sit any place
that they are comfortable to them inside the class. It will help students speech when the speaking.

3- And clean up, to be clean and have a good learning environment. And the students learn responsibility and self-reliance. At the
end of the day the teacher pot the song of clean up and students should clean up before the song stop. According Margo “The
kids enjoy this because they think that it’s a race”. (Margo, 2008). In the future, we would use different strategies to reward a
student who cleans well that will encourage others to clean and tidies up.
