Document Scope and Structure

Note: Strongly recommend that please arrange the IP instructor or IP engineer to prepare

the environment.

This document covers the four modules:

 Module I. Related Files Preparation

 Module II. eNSP Installation

 Module III. Hedex Installation

 Appendix. Win10 Compatibility problem with virtualbox

Module I <Related Files Preparation> includes the installation files and Hedex technology files.

Module II <eNSP Installation> includes four sub-parts:

 Part I. BIOS Setting

 Part II. Virtualbox Installation (Only for Windows 10)

 Part III. eNSP Installation

 Part IV. USG6000V imagine Importing

Module III. <Hedex Installation> covers the Hedex huawei document reading tool installation.

Appendix. Win10 Compatibility problem with virtualbox.

Module I - <Related Files Preparation>

 Download installation files for the following installation:

 eNSP installation Package (eNSP V100R002C00B510)

 USG6000V Package (compatible with eNSP V100R002C00B510)

 Hedex installation Package or (this download link)

*** (Only for Windows 10)Warning: eNSP must be run with the virutalbox. But

unfortunaly, the different Windows 10 version (including update version)

compatibility with virtualbox is different. The following version of virtualbox is

recommend:

 *** VirtualBox 5.1.30

 *** VirtualBox 5.0.40

 *** VirtualBox 5.0.26

 *** VirtualBox 4.3.12

 Download the Hedex technology files（AR，USG，S5700）(after you download you

need to change the file suffix with *.hdx), and put them into the <eNSP Configuration

Reference> folder. And Put this folder in the exam’s PC desktop.

Module II <eNSP Installation>

Exam PC System requirement: Please refer to the System Configuration

We recommend use the win 7 system with 8 GB memory as the exam PC.

Note:

 Strongly recommend choose the high quality PC as the exam PC.

 Recommend to prepare some PC as the redundancy PC in case of PC fault accident

Part I. BIOS Setting

In order to add USG6000V, firstly enable virtualization in BIOS of the exam PC.

(You can search “How to access BIOS” in Google search)

Move the cursor to Virtualization and click Enter.

NOTE:

BIOS pages on different computers may be different. The example is for reference only.

On the Virtualization page, set the Intel (R) Virtualization Technology to Enabled.

Save and exit the BIOS view to enter the operating system.

Part II. Virtualbox Installation (Only for Windows 10)

Install the newest VirtualBox version as the installation tips.

(un-check the “Create a shortcut on the desktop” option to avoid the student change or
delete the setting in the virtualbox)
Note:
No need to change the other thing in the installation process.

Part III. eNSP Installation

Step 1 Install eNSP.
Regardless of whether the purpose is to study the network, reproduce a
problem on a live network, or run a pre-project delivery simulation,
verification must be simulated. However, in practice there is often a lack
of the actual device needed for physical testing, and so eNSP has been
designed to easily create a virtual network to simulate the actual network
environment for testing purposes.
Because each simulated device occupies a certain amount of memory on
eNSP, the minimum configuration requirements for a system running
eNSP are: 2.0 GHz or higher dual-core CPU; 2 GB (4 GB-
Recommended) of RAM, 2 GB (4 GB-Recommended) of free disk
space, and either Windows 7(Recommended) or Windows 10 running
as the operating system.
Before installing eNSP, check the status of the system configuration.
Ensure that the minimum configuration requirements are met and then
perform the installation through the following steps:
Step 2 Double-click the eNSP installation file. The installation wizard dialog box is
displayed.
Step 3 Change the installation language to English (the default setting is Chinese),
and click OK.

Step 4 The welcome window is displayed. Then, click the Next button, as shown in
Figure 1-1.

Step 5 Select the installation location (the path cannot contain non-English
characters). Then, click the Next button, as shown in Figure 1-2.

Step 6 Select the Start menu folder in which the eNSP program shortcut will appear.
Then, click the Next button, as shown in Figure 1-3.

Step 7 Choose whether to create a program shortcut on the desktop. Then, click the
Next button, as shown in Figure 1-4.

Step 8 Select the software to be installed. Note: For initial installations, select every
software option. Then, click the Next button, as shown in Figure 1-5.

Remark：If the exam PC Operation System is WIN 10, please un-check the VirtualBox option

Step 9 Confirm the installation information. Then, click the Install button to start the
installation, as shown in Figure 1-6.

Step 10 If you do not want to open eNSP immediately after the installation is finished,
deselect the Launch eNSP check box. Click the Finish button to complete the
installation, as shown in Figure 1-7.

Part IV. USG6000V Package Importing

Step 1 Download the USG6000V.zip from the newest eNSP download website for
the next step procedure. (Or from HUAWEIACAD)

Step 2 Add USG 6000V in eNSP:

Click and Open the eNSP application. Follow the following action to add the
USG6000V.

Try to run the USG6000V after importing the USG6000V package.

If needed, remove the old base images from VirtualBox and register devices
from eNSP Menu>Tools>Register device.

Checking
Check if the environment is Ready for the eNSP examination.

Warning: especially USG6000V running verification need to double-check.

Step 1 Download and Extract the

<TEST_B_Paper_Copy_For_eNSP_installation_Check.zip> Paper file :

Step 2 Double-Click and open the *.paper use the eNSP. Press the Start Button .

Step 3 Wait several minutes, and double click the USG6000V and Router

to check if they can run well.

(The above screen tells us the USG FireWall is running.)

Step 4 Obtain and open the exam paper file (*.paper) with eNSP.. Double check if all
the device in the exam paper could be open. If no, please try to find the reson
or contact HQ for help. (HQ contact: wushiwei 00280246)
Note: Obtain *.paper file from training manager.

Note: Ignore the following Pop windows when you open the eNSP:

Module III. Hedex Installation

Download and Install the huawei document reading tool: HedEx Lite.

Put <eNSP Configuration Reference> folder in the exam’s PC desktop.

Checking
Try to open the file (*.hdx) in the above folder to check if the Hedex is Ready for the

huawei technological electronic document reading.

Note: After you download you need to change the file suffix with *.hdx).

Appendix. Win10 Compatibility problem with virtualbox

Because the USG6000V should be working with virtualbox application. The newest Windows 10

version lack of the compatibility with some virtualbox version.

If blue screen happen in the windows 10 environment, try to remove the virtualbox & eNSP fisrt,

re-install the virtualbox 4.3.12 version & eNSP to solve the campatibility problem.

Note: Use the windows administrator role to excute the following steps.

Step 1. Remove the eNSP application, and clear(delete) all the file in the installation folder(such

as: “C:\Program Files\Huawei\eNSP”).

Step 2. Remove the current virtualbox application, and clear(delete) all the file in the installation

folder.(such as: “C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox”)

Step 3. Restart the PC.

Note: Step 1&2&3 excution aim to make sure it is a clear installation environment.

Step 4. Install another version virtualbox first.

Step 5. Install the eNSP after the installation of virtualbox.

Step 6. Import the USG6000V package, refer to the Part IV of Module II <eNSP Installation>

Finally, check if you can run the USG6000V in the eNSP.

Note: If needed, remove the old base images from VirtualBox and register devices from eNSP

Menu>Tools>Register device.
