Streptomyces griseus

These species of bacteria grows in long filaments in the earth worldwide and characterized
as Gram-positive bacterium. It also exude a chemical called geosmin. It is what we
recognized in a freshly-turned field. Geosmin is also responsible for the earthy flavor of
beets – and, unfortunately, the muddy taste of some fish, wine and water. Despite being
that, Streptomyces griseus strains are being utilize for production of some antibiotics
including streptomycin. It also now being used for agricultural industries for pathogenic
protection of crops.

With these properties, I figuratively see myself as this bacterium. I may be just from earth
soil but I am me. I may be earthy-odor but like Streptomyces griseus I have my own distinct
significances.

I also put into consideration myself being so attracted with head turner fragrance.
