2. The question paper consists of 29 questions divided into 4 sections A, B, C and D. Section A comprises
4 questions of one mark each, section B comprises of 8 questions of two marks each, section C
comprises of 11 questions of four marks each and section D comprises 6 questions of six marks each.
3. All questions of the section A are to be answered in one word or one sentence or as per exact
requirement of the question.
4. There is no overall choice. However internal choice has been provided in three questions of four marks
and two questions of six marks each.
5. Use of calculator is not permitted.

24. In a survey 60 people, it was found 25 people read the newspaper H, 26 read newspaper T, 26 read
newspaper I, 9 read both T and I. 11 read both H and T, 8 read both H and I, 3 read all the newspapers. Find
the number of people who read (i) at least one of the newspapers and (ii) exactly one newspaper.
25. If the arcs of same lengths in two circles subtend angles 650 and 1100 at the centers, find the ratio of their
radii.
26. Using principles of mathematical induction, prove that41n – 14n is a multiple of 27

28. (i) In how many ways the letters of the word `EXAMINATION` can be arranged?
(ii) A Mathematics question paper consists of 10 questions divided into two parts, part I and part II , each
part containing 5 questions. A student is required to attempt 6 questions in all, taking at least 2 questions
from each part. In how many ways a student can select the six questions?
29. In an increasing G.P., the sum of the first and last terms is 66 and the product of the second and the second
last term is 128. If the sum of the series is 126, find the number of terms of the series.
OR
If the sum of first m terms of an A.P. is equal to the sum of the next p terms and also to the sum of the next q
