1. Activity 1:
 Display sentence cards or write sentences on the board.
 Read the sentences. Pupils listen and repeat.
 Pupils read the sentences as a class.
 Ask pupils to mime the action of each sentence.

 Distribute worksheets. Pupils look at the pictures carefully.
 Describe a picture. E.g. Bob is looking for shells.

 Pupils listen and find the corresponding picture.

 Pupils write the name below the picture.
 Repeat steps with other pictures. Check with the class.

1. The game is similar to a standard game of tic-tac-toe.


2. Each player must first choose to be either X’s or O’s.
3. In turn, each player then marks an X or an O on one square of the TIC-
TAC-TOE grid.
4. In order for a player to mark an X or an O on a square, he or she must
first add one of the missing final sounds listed above the TIC-TAC-TOE
grid to the name.
5. The player reads aloud the name and articulate the final sound.
6. If both players agree that the word and the final sound is correct, the
player can mark that square.
7. The player who gets three X’s or three O’s in a row wins the game.
