*If you use a written assignment, portfolio etc. make some statement about
reliability, add “multiple reviewers will be used. “ Include the number and
method, e.g. two reviewers will score the portfolios. And how consistent it is, add
“The department assessment coordinator will work with the Office of Institutional
Effectiveness and Assessment to monitor inter-rater reliability.”

*If you use test items, include a complete discussion of these items to include the
kind of items (are they multiple choice or some other type), number of items per
outcome, and some effort to evaluate the reliability and validity of the items (or
state that this will be done in conjunction with our office.)
