SERVICES IN DETAIL
 Remote Navigation Audit | VDR Analysis |
A Remote Navigation Audit provides an objective independent check by a trained auditor that the
correct procedures are being followed on board. The human element is generally acknowledged to be a major
factor still in many shipping incidents and accidents so this audit reduces the risk of future accidents occurring.

HOW IT WORKS
The client sends in the VDR data along with copies of relevant voyage documents and charts (on memory stick,
DVD, or over the Internet)

A trained auditor carries out a review of Bridge Team procedures, VDR data, passage plan, voyage documents, etc.
against company policies and industry best practices

The auditor’s review of the VDR data is performed using respective analysis software. This ensures that the most
comprehensive level of analysis can be consistently applied to the data. The auditor produces a written report
with observations and recommendations based on the findings.

Each audit report includes screenshots, if required Audio & Video clip, to illustrate any key points. The reports and
video clips are reviewed by management prior to issue, and digital delivery to your e-mail inbox.

SERVICES IN DETAIL
Real-Time Navigation Audit |

The biggest risk facing a ship owner is a major navigational incident in spite of the fact that the techniques for safe
navigation are well known. When these techniques are professionally executed, navigational risks are reduced.

Conducting Navigational audits are a requirement of TMSA 3 and becoming more and more important to
eliminate every possible gap and prevent a possible accident. According to OCIMF TMSA element 5 (Stage 4.3
recommends), the operator shall arrange independent navigational reviews to check the navigational competence.

Our emphasis is on the challenges of safe navigation today. We truly focus on the technical background regarding
navigation and give special importance to current developments and charterers’ requirements.

Auditee would be made aware of gaps in their knowledge that could lead to unsafe procedures and understand
the huge importance of the human element in the navigational process.

Risk Management, team assessment and auditing are used as tools to monitor and/or improve individual skills as
well as those of the whole bridge team. Improvements to existing Safety Management Systems can also be
identified within such an audit.
