Your transmitter’s performance is only ever

as good as the sample you start with.
Because inaccuracy leads to unreliable calibration of the consistency transmitter, taking
a representative sample from the process line is absolutely critical. That’s why the
basis of any precise lab evaluation is the ability to extract a sample directly from the
process. That requires a high-quality sampling valve capable of delivering consistent
functionality and performance, regardless of the operator. BTG offers three types of
high-quality sampling valves tailored to different applications.

Accurate low-cost sampling

MPS-1000 & PPS-1000
Manual / Pneumatic Pulp Sampling Valves

MCS-1000
Medium Consistency Sampling Valve
Pneumatically controlled multi-purpose sampler for manual extraction of pulp
samples. Suitable for all types of pulp – even unscreened pulp with shives
and knots – and low pressure applications. Works in a wide consistency
range of 0-16%. Extracts away from the water layer inside the pipe wall.

Pressureless sampling
FVS-1200 / 1300
Fixed Volume Sampling Valve
A pneumatic or electrically controlled unit extracting fixed volume samples.
Facilitates automatic sampling on time- or flow-based intervals. Sampling in
the range of 0-6% consistency. Extracts away from the water layer inside the
pipe wall and can be used in unpressurized as well as pressurized positions.

wearing, high-performance materials, such as ceramics or cermets (ceramic-
metal compounds) maintain tissue quality, reducing broke, increasing process
efficiency and ensuring consistently high quality across the web. More stable
tissue quality, less scrapping and less work in the converting section all add
up to a substantial increase in overall productivity.

CBC™ Creping Blade Holder – A unique concept

BTG’s patented CBC blade holder provides independent control of linear load
and creping pocket angle while the machine is running, for unrivalled produc-
tivity and tissue quality. BTG’s CBC is self-adjusting, and both blade changes
and blade height adjustment are easy to perform.

ttc – total tissue capability

BTG’s Total Tissue Capability concept – TTC – is a holistic process analysis
that makes use of in-line instruments, off-line lab studies, detailed tissue
chemistry and crepe application competencies to map the entire tissue pro-
cess from the wet end to the converted end product. The analysis results in
a process improvement plan designed to deliver significant cost savings in
consumables, improved asset efficiency and enhanced tissue quality.
