To Whom It May Concern:

I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation for my student Alyssa Rose Abler who is applying
in your nurse residency program. Alyssa is expected to graduate in December 2018. I had the pleasure to
be Alyssa ’s instructor in her last semester. I oversaw her in the mother/baby unit where she was
assigned for five weeks (180 hours) for her clinical preceptorship.

In capacity of her teacher, I found Alyssa very passionate for caring of mother/baby population. She is
very pleasant, hardworking, critical thinker, energetic and dedicated student who is always willing to
learn and diversify her clinical skill set. Her preceptor found her nursing skills to be highly satisfactory
and her way of providing education to new moms commendable. She is very well versed with using EPIC
system for Electronic Health Record documentation. In addition to being a naturally compassionate, and
caring person, she is highly dependable as her patient care documentation was always up to date. She
was never behind on charting on her patients. She has never been behind on her deadlines for the
school assignments either.

Her communication skills with her patient, family members and coworkers were highly effective. She
always acted as patient advocate and never hesitated to speak up for them. I found Alyssa a team
player. She would pitch in to help nurses on her unit whenever she was available. I never saw her sitting
around in the unit. She was always helping her team which was highly commendable.

In addition to this, Alyssa followed the charge nurse on the unit for 8 hours and learned leadership skills.
She is also a collegiate member of Chi-Omega-Zeta Beta Chapter and National Society of Collegiate
Scholars. She has also volunteered her time at Brent’s Place in Aurora, Colorado where she interacted
and played with children with serious illnesses, helped prepare and cook meals for large groups and
families and led a fundraiser for Kid’s cure for Cancer run.

Alyssa ’s patient care and leadership skills along with her passion and commitment to the nursing
profession make her a fore runner for your nurse residency program and I strongly believe that if
recruited she will be asset to your unit and the organization. Please feel free to contact me if you need
any additional query regarding Alyssa ’s skills and qualifications.

Sincerely,
