done my internship with Aquionics Developments India
Pvt Ltd for 2 Months i.e., from 07th June,2018 to 31st July,
2018

Company Profile
Aquionics established in Perth, Western Australia in
1973 before moving operations to Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia in 2000, This has allowed Aquionics a more
centrally located and cost economical base to supply
equipment and services, domestically and
internationally. In 2004, to service the growing demand
from project related works, Aquionics formed Aquionics
Developments.
Aquionics Developments is also based in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia and has and is working in locations globally.
Aquionics Developments has proven that it is more than
capable of assisting with any aquatic or animal theme
park, water feature or water park production, partial or
turnkey operation with innovative concepts and
construction methods with effective and accurate project
management.

The Aquionics Group has been in the business of
designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing
water maintenance products and systems around the
world and is recognized as a world leader in this field.
All product development is conducted in-house by
Aquionics personnel to maintain high quality standards.
Our new technology and products development are
extensively tested before commercial manufacture and
only then, released into the market.
No other company in the world has the diversity of
products and flexibility to meet customer's needs like the
Aquionics Group.
It is Aquionics Group intention to manufacture and
distribute a proprietary range of products and to

incorporate these products in packages for various
projects.

The need to adapt existing products and systems and in


some cases to design and manufacture specialized
products, to meet particular clients' requirements has
become one of Aquionics' fortes.

Iinfrastructure: The company has countrywide


infrastructure of sales and service offices, production
facilities, dealers, distributors and C&FA.

During my internship I got opportunity to understand


Aquionics’ different department & it’s functions. It has
many verticals and it’s functions and hierarchy can be
summarized as follows:

DIRECT SALES FUNCTIONS:

Unless otherwise discussed separately hereunder, all


Direct Sales personnel are expected to fulfill the codes
and practices laid out by the HO to upkeep the dignity
and decorum of the office, the image of the company
outside, through their appearance, attitude and behavior.
The office visit is also necessary to fulfill the following
activities:
a) to complete their Daily Activity Report
b) to plan for the next day’s visit and Demos
c) to handover the Sales Order acknowledgement
copies along with payment

d) to settle any Commercial and Service issues

Dress Code:

Direct Sales Persons are expected to dress formally with


pleasing colour shirts and trousers, tie and shoes,
especially when meeting the external Customers, so as
to keep the Company’s image in high esteem.

Communication:

Direct Sales Persons are expected to have proper


communication command over English and Local
language and express politely within the Company and
outside with customers and others, so as not to spoil the
image of the Company.

Operational Functions:

The entire functions are designed in such a way that the


Operation and Reporting flows from bottom to top and
the Control and Accountability from top to bottom.
The functions and reporting for each level of operation is
given below:

TELE – CALLERS

Job Specification
 To contact 60 to 70 prospective users per day
 To fix appointment with at least 60 persons per
month for SP’s visit leading to Demos.

CHANNEL SALES

It is the marketing of Aquionics range of Water


Treatment Solutions to the end users through Authorised
Distributors and Dealers
Distributor Agreement signed for promoting the Sales of
specified range of Products that can be sold over the
counter.

The individual functions, Responsibility and


Accountability and Reporting discussed below are
applicable to all employees who are on the roll of the
Company.

OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS

The entire functions are designed in such a way that the


Operation and Reporting flows from bottom to top and
the Control and Accountability from top to bottom.

SWIMMING POOL SALES

Swimming Pool Sales involve marketing of AQUIONICS


range of standardized swimming pool and components
to hotel, end users etc

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Unless otherwise discussed separately hereunder, all


Swimming Pool Sales personnel are expected to fulfill
the codes and practices laid out by the HR department
to upkeep the dignity and decorum of the office, the
image of the Company outside through their
appearance, attitude and behaviour.

OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS
The entire functions are designed in such a way that the
Operation and Reporting flows from bottom to top and
the Control and Accountability from top to bottom.
The functions and reporting for each level of operation is
given below:

Pricing / Discounts

The Pricing of the products shall be as per Price List


declared from time to time, discounts offered, etc.
Discount policies will be announced in writing from time
to time by VP and shall be applicable for particular time
as specified in the policy.

Incentives

Incentive to SP is to motivate and to get more sales. But


it is payable only when the person achieves the target
and the money realized.
Incentives payable only when the invoice is raised and
the full amount realized.

Wherever any delay in recovering the amount beyond 21
(Twenty One) days, the incentive payable will be
reduced to 50% of the amount due
Any Sales return to be reduced from the sales for
calculating incentive.
No inter transfer of units between SPs will be considered
for incentive. NSM’s approval required for exceptional
cases.

Besides the above sales verticals, the company has


many other Departments like, Service, HR and
Accounts.

I spent many days with each department to study and


understand how a company is functioning to achieve it’s
goal. Really it will be very helpful to me in my future
career.
