Dear Brothers and Lay Marists in Asia,

Greetings of Peace!

It has been of years since we started the implementation of the new models
a number
of governance and the regionalization of our congregation. Meetings and strategic
planning were held to respond to these challenges. After which, Asian commissions,
committees, and teams were created to implement programs and activities that were
designed. Just more than a year ago, the councils of the different Administrative
units experienced a drastic change, and just a few months passed we had the 22nd
General Chapter. These occurrences necessitated a response from us. We, with the
support coming from the General Council felt the need for us to have a strategic
planning anew and to reshuffle a bit the composition of the different commissions,
committees, and teams.

In this regard, we are sharing with you, two things:

First, is the result of the strategic planning, and second, the updated membership of
the different commissions, committees, and teams. Both of these were approved by
the councils of the 3 administrative units (South Asia, Marist District of Asia, East
Asia).

The information is attached herewith.

On behalf of the Brothers and Lay Marist in the region, we, the members of the Marist
Asian Region Implementation Team would like to thank the previous members of the
commissions, committees, and teams for sharing with us their time, talent,
commitment, and expertise. We were blessed by their contributions and presence.

To end, please allow us to quote the 5 calls of the 22nd General Chapter to help guide
us in our working together for the next 10 years.

A: As a Global Charismatic Family, a Beacon of Hope in this Turbulent World

B: To be the Face and Hands of Your Tender Mercy
C: Inspire our creativity to be Bridge-Builders
D: To Journey with Children and Young People at the Margins of Life
E: To Respond Boldly to Emerging Needs
