From Family Tree Maker: Peter Hoop (Hupp, Hup) arrived in PA from Germany in August, 1749

The following is from an Ancestry Message Board, for surname Hoop, dated 6 Apr 2000, from Mike Scott at
s2065@gateway.net: "John and Peter, the sons of Peter Hoop, I don't believe were ever in PA. They both came to
Highland County, Ohion around 1800 from VA where they were both married. From Ohio they headed basically west
although many stayed in Ohio. Your info on Germany and names are correct. Peter Hoop (Hupp, Hup) arrived in PA
from Germany in August, 1749."

(SB: 31) four pages of maps of Peter Hoop, Sr. farm in Shenandoah County, Virginia, received from Karen O'Brien
May 2006. She visited the farm area in the spring of 2006 and said it was beautiful but was unable to take photos
because of the rain.
