5 The dry season is too long Reduced oxygen content in the air
B.
1. Introduction to the topic
A drought is a period of below-average precipitation in a given region,
resulting in prolonged shortages in the water supply, whether atmospheric, surface
water or ground water. A drought can last for months or years, or may be declared
after as few as 15 days. Drought is a natural disaster that usually lasts slowly. It is
often difficult to decide when the dry season starts and sometimes when it ends
too.
