It has been recognized that vehicle fitness and aspects such as clean windshield are

important components to ensuring safety on the road. The dangers from driving
distraction cause is moving components such as windshield wipers especially when it’s
raining and the environmental factors such as dust, particles and the like that might built
up to our vehicle’s windshield. According to the Republic Act 10913of the Anti-
Distracted Driving Act of the Philippines. passed by the Senate of the Philippines as
Senate Bill No. 3211 on May 30, 2016. The windshield wiper is one form of obstruction;
the design of automobiles are continuously evolving which are evident with the different
appealing features that can be seen and this project can prove great contribution in
making a wiper less vehicle in this modern time; without the traditional wiper, drives can
prevent abrasions and other unwanted marks on our windshield so as to keep it always
clean and clear; drives can save money from occasionally buying replacements for wiper
blades; also speaks and screeches caused by worn out wiper blades can be eliminated;
through this project great comfort and ease to the drivers and passenger eye can achieve
on the road finally; the researchers will achieve great pleasure and pride for becoming the
inventors of the first Pressurized air windshield wiper (PAWWI) and the benefits that it
can share in the whole world.
The researchers found out that there is an easy way to clear the vision of the
windshield. Researchers conducted this study to avoid un-destructed by using pressurized
air. Researchers found out that by using pressurized air,it maintaining the posture quality
of the automobiles windshield against watermarks and scratches cause by the traditional
wiper blades.
And it promotes the Anti-Destruction campaign in driving to lessen or avoid road
accidents. If this study comes out with a good quality procedure it will contribute greatly
to the automotive, industry locally and even internationally.
The air pressure of this project will be maximum of 15 PSI. It has a Low of 3 PSI,
Low-Medium of 5 PSI, Medium of 8 PSI, Medium-High of 12 PSI and the High of 15
PSI. The air tank should be at the maximum of 50 PSI. It has a relay to indicate if the
pressure decreases to 30 PSI and below, then the compressor will run to fill the air tank.
Windshield wipers are used to clean the windshield of a car so that the driver has

an unobstructed view of the road. A typical wipe angle for a passenger car is about 67

degrees. The blades are 12-30 in (30-76 cm) long with lengths increasing in 2-in (5-cm)

increments.

The history of the windshield wiper began with the invention of the automobile.

Most transportation vehicles don’thave wipers. Horse-drawn carriages and trucks moved

at slow speeds, and glass was not needed to protect the driver or passengers or to act as a

windbreak.’’Windshield Wiper” How products are made retrieved October 16,2018 from

The first windshield wipers were brushes. Inventor J. H. Apjohn came up with a

method of moving two brushes up and down on a vertical plate glass windshield in 1903.

In the same year, Mary Anderson devised a swinging arm that swept rain off the

windshield when the driver moved a lever located inside the car. Anderson patented her

invention of the mechanical windshield wiper in 1905, and it became standard equipment

by 1913. Electric motors were not used yet to power automobile essentials or accessories,

and Anderson's device had a drawback. Without another power source, a driver had to

use one hand to move the lever. The driver's other hand steered the car (with either a

wheel or steering tiller) and worked the stick-mounted gear shift and brake grips standing

on the floor of the car or outside the driver's side on the running board. ’’Windshield
