In 1972, Serafini family established C.a.p.t. and began the production of tap-changers
for distribution transformers for the national market first and later for the European
and North African markets. In the following years C.a.p.t. started the production-line of
tap-changers for power transformers too, becoming one of main world players for the
de-energized tap changers market. In 2013 C.a.p.t. become part of Reinhausen Group.
