The counsel for the plaintiff humbly submits before the court,

1. That the cause of action arose on 1 Jan 2018 as a news item appeared in the Indian Express
on 1st Jan 2018 with the headline that another intern alleges sexual harassment on the hands
of SC judge,
2. That the student was an intern and alleged that she was aggrieved by plaintiff Mr ABC who
is an honorable judge of Supreme Court that he sexually harassed her
3. That the plaintiff didn’t sexually harassed the intern and the girl has voluntarily left the
internship on her own will and the allegation published by defendant in his newspaper are
baseless
4. That the allegations are vexatious, frivolous, and are published with an ill will to defame
the plaintiff
5. That all these allegations are published in a News paper named Indian Express and the
article has been written by defendant with a view to defame the judge
6. That article of the defendant has caused a grave injury to the reputation of plaintiff and
has spoiled his clean, reputed and honorable image
7. That for this suit which arose on 1st Jan 2018 is within the jurisdiction of this Honorable
High Court of Delhi.

Valuation
That the plaintiff values this suit for the purpose of court fee and jurisdiction of 500,000 and pays
a court fee of 1000 under section 20 of Court Fees Act and suits valuation act.

Prayer

It is therefore prayed that the honorable court may be pleaded to pass a judgment and decree
against the defendant in favor of plaintiff.

Directing the defendant to pay Rs 500,000/-.

Awarding the plaintiff the cost of his suit and passing such further order as the honorable court
may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.
