Lesson idea implementation:

For this lesson, the teacher will be teaching most of the time and the students will be listening. The lesson
will be introduced with a short video in the beginning about goods and services to gain students attention on
the topic. The lesson will then take about 20 minutes to complete. Throughout the lesson, students will be
asked questions and at the end of the lesson students will do a hands-on activity about goods and services
since PowerPoint is not extremely interactive for students.

Student learning will be assessed by having students answer questions throughout the powerpoint and by
observing them during the hands-on activity that follow the PowerPoint. Students will receive feedback when
they answer questions in the lesson, if they get it wrong I will let them know what the correct answer is. In
order to extend this lesson to a higher loti level, the PowerPoint will be done on the Interactive White Board
so that students may come answer questions at the board.
Reflective Practice:

I believe that by allowing students to come to the board for this activity and including a hands-on activity
afterwards students will be engaged in the lesson. However, this was also designed as an introductory lesson
to a unit of study. So, with that being said, I could further extend the lesson by using a more interactive
software for the next part of the lesson and having the lesson be more student directed. Using a technology

tool such as NearPod for the second part of this lesson would be an interactive way for students to use
technology and learn the material.
