The Chemco Modular AMD Water Treatment plant is designed to

achieve the following objec ves:

 To minimize field assembly and installa on costs

 To shorten installa on me by factory assembling, piping and
wiring major components
 To treat AMD water which will be suitable for industrial reuse
or environmentally safe disposal
 To achieve a zero discharge of industrial waste water.

Minimize Field Installa on

Chemco’s modular systems are designed so that the en re system,

consis ng of dry lime storage and feed, slaking or slurry make down,
neutraliza on and/or aera on, is a single module; a complete plant.
The plant is factory assembled, pre‐piped and wired, and tested, and
shipped to the site in one large single piece. The field assembly is
reduced from several months to a couple of weeks. The factory as‐
sembled modular systems are suitable for AMD water flows of up to
500 GPM. Mul ple units can be used to increase the capacity.

Installa on costs will be substan ally reduced and the system will be
ready to use in less than a month assuming the founda on is
completed and u li es are brought close to the founda on, prior to
start of installa on. As a bonus, the startup me is substan ally
reduced because the electrical and piping components were factory
tested prior to shipment.

Modular AMD water treatment systems will reduce waste water discharge by trea ng the water and reusing
it again and again. Proper treatment of waste mining water means neutralizing the acidic water, precipi‐
ta ng the heavy metals and minimizing the suspended solids and dissolved solids. Minimizing the waste
water disposal will have a huge posi ve impact on environment as well as wild life.
