Scope of work

The scope consists of the transport of 7 engines from Man, model 18V48/60TS

Item Weight (mT) Length (mm) Width (mm) High (mm)

7 Man Engine 320 12600 4750 6500

We considered after study and calculation at those engines with a high center of gravity have to
be transported with 20 axles lines of Self Propelled Modular Transport (SPMT).

We considered a total work of 15 days if the distance of the site does not exceed 20 kilometres
of the port gate.
As described in technical data below, SPMT trailers do not exceed a speed of 5 km/per hour,
that´s why we considered 2 days per motor, Loading, lashing, transport, unlashed, unload and
come back to port for next engine.
We assumed also 1 full day for set up and dismantled all equipment.

Technical Drawings are included at the end of the proposal, showing the configuration and
calculation of centre of gravity and load capacity of the main items.
This configuration have been chosen for the height of the centre of gravity, the size and the
weight of the Item, to rich the best safety configuration.

EQUIPMENT DATA SHEET - SPMT

The development of self propelled modular

transporters (SPMT’s) is a major advance in the
technology of moving very large loads.
This new generation of heavy transport equipment
combines state of the art design with proven
components. The 4 and 6 axle line transporter units
can be operated independently or assembled into
any combination.
Individual transporters can be hydraulically and
electronically linked to provide a support platform
matched to the characteristics of the load and the
route.
Programmable, 360 degree electronic steering
achieves extremely accurate load positioning even
under arduous site conditions.
The SPMT transport system is an unrivalled method
for the safe and effective transport of the largest
loads.

Self Propelled Modular Transporter

Key features of the SPMT system include:
2 FILE UNIT • Hydraulically driven for movement in any
Carrying Capacity 36t / Axle direction.
• Multi-axle, high torque drive units, maximising
the tractive effort.
• 25 to 50 percent of all axles driven.
• Multi power modules capable of being
interlinked.
• Advance coupling system to reduce rigging
time.
• In cab or remote control option.
4 FILE UNIT
• Single point control for multi transfer operation.
Carrying Capacity 72t / Axle
• 3, 4 or multi suspension.
