RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the methods used by the researchers in gathering

data needed for the study. It includes research method used, subject of the

study sampling scheme, data gathering instrument and statistical treatment of

data.

Research Method Used

The researchers used descriptive method of research. This is to present

the facts about the status of the library system of Senior High School. The

proposed library system was done to design a new system that is more efficient

and secured in terms of keeping information and data.

The data for this study were organized, statistically treated, and

presented in tabular form. The relevant findings were also discussed and

interpreted.

Subject of the Study

The researchers included the Senior High Teachers of Maria Aurora

National High School. A total of 11 teachers were used in the study.

Sampling Scheme

The sampling scheme used in this research is total enumeration of all

Senior High School teachers of Maria Aurora National High School who served

as respondents.

Data Gathering Instrument

In data gathering the researchers used structured questionnaires in

order to assess the impact of the newly develop system. The researchers

obtained statistically useful information on proposed system.

Statistical Treatment of Data

The data were obtained from the respondents and were tabulated

systematically in order to obtain accurate information.

The statistical treatment used in analyzing the result of this study is the

weighted average mean.

Lickert Scale method was used to analyze the result of the survey

using the formula:

Rating = (EE*5) + (VE*4) + (ME*3) + (SE*2) + (NE*1)

Rating = total number of respondents

EE= total number of respondents who answered Extremely Effective.

VE= total number of respondents who answered Very Effective.

ME= total number of respondents who answered Moderately Effective

SE=total number of respondents who answered Slightly Effective.

NE= total number of respondents who answered Not Effective.
