Subject: 3rd Quarter U-Visa Certification Report

During the months of July through September 2018, the Durham Police Department received forty-eight
requests for law enforcement certifications of U-Visa Nonimmigrant Status applications. Thirty-four
certifications were provided and fourteen were denied. A spreadsheet of the requests is below along
with a quarterly comparison chart. Seventy-one percent of the requests submitted this quarter were
certified.
