Om Prakash Verma Biography

Dr. Om Prakash Verma is currently working as an Assistant Professor in department
of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of
Technology Jalandhar, Punjab, India an institute of national importance. Dr. Verma
received the B.E in Electronics and Instrumentation from Dr B R Ambedkar
University, Agra and started his academic career in 2008 as a lecturer in the
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SBIT, Sonepat, India.
He joined M.Tech in 2010 at department of Control and Instrumentation
Engineering, Dr B R Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar. After completion of his M.Tech, he
joined Graphic Era University, Dehradun in 2012 as an Assistant Professor in
department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. Dr. Verma moved to Indian
Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2013 and completed his Ph.D. degree in the
discipline of Process Engineering in 2017. After completion of his Ph.D, Dr. Verma
worked as an Assistant Professor in School of Mechatronics at Banasthali Vidyapith,
Rajasthan for very short period and joined Department of School of Electronics,
KIIT, Bhubaneswar for 5 month. He has credit to publish more than 10 research
papers with high impact factor of ~4.5 in Energy, Elsevier including other SCI
Indexed Journal. He is reviewer of more than 10 reputed high impact SCI indexed
journal such as Energy, Pattern Recognition Journal, Ambient Intelligence &
Humanized Computing, Springer, Multimedia and Tools, Springer, International
Journal of Computers & Technology, International Journal of Industrial
Engineering: Theory, Applications and Practice, Journal of Medical and Biological
Engineering, Springer, International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and
Management, Springer, Reviewer of International Journal of Electrical and
Computer Engineering and many of the other peer reviewed journals. He is an
Editorial Review Board Member on Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering,
World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology, USA. He is Life Time
Member of ISOI (Instrumentation Society of India, Bangalore, India). He has credit
of chair the session in ICSC (International Conference of Signal Processing and
Communication) Organized at JIIT, Greater Noida sponsored by Springer. He is Co-
Convener of SoCTA 2018 organized at department of Instrumentation and Control
Engineering, Dr B R Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar.
