The  cost  of  free  will.  Will  you  decide  to  choose  Life?

God  created  man  with  the  gift  of  free  will  for  his  delight.  Free  will  is  what  separates  us  from  all  other
creatures  on  Earth.  Lions  hunt,  birds  fly,  cows  graze;  this  is  all  innate  to  their  nature.  Animals  do  not  have
a  choice  in  the  matter  as  they  have  not  been  given  the  gift  of  free  will  (Genesis  1:26).

Free  will  stops  becoming  free  will  when  one  is  limited  to  the  choices  that  they  can  wilfully  make.  This
includes  being  given  the  option  to  do  that  which  is  bad  (Galatians  5:13).

God  is  perfectly  just  and  perfectly  righteous  (Deut  32:4).  This  means  that  in  order  to  fully  realise  the  gift
of  free  will  in  man,  He  had  to  give  us  the  choice  to  choose  evil,  otherwise  free  will  would  not  be  free  will
-‐   our   choices   would   only   end   up   being   limited,   and   we   would   therefore   be   no   different   to   any   other
‘creature’  on  earth  (Genesis  1:26).

This  is  why  the  Tree  of  the  Knowledge  of  Good  and  Evil  was  placed  in  the  garden  of  Eden.  It  acted  as  the
means  by  which  man  could  choose  to  disobey  God  if  they  so  wished  (Genesis  2:9).  However,  it  wouldn’t
have   been   righteous   of   God   unless   prior   warning   to   refrain   from   eating   form   the   tree   was   given.   To   put
things   in   man’s   favour   for   good,   it   was   explained   what   the   consequences   would   be   (Genesis   2:17).   In
addition,  man  was  given  a  far  better  deal  in  being  able  to  eat  from  every  other  tree  in  the  garden,  including
the  tree  of  Life  (Genesis  2:16).

Given  the  choice  when  tempted  however,  man  failed  the  test  immediately

Now,  what  does  the  knowledge  of  good  and  evil  mean  for  us  humans?  It  gave  us  the  ability  to  know  what
is  both  good  and  bad,  and  when  combined  with  free  will,  this  means  that  we  were  now  responsible  for
our  actions  (Gen  3:5;  Romans  2:15).  Doing  evil  when  knowing  that  it  is  evil  therefore  makes  us  wholly
responsible  for  the  evil  committed  (Romans  14:12).  Why  is  it  not  evil  when  a  baby  bites  another?  Because
they  do  not  have  the  knowledge  of  it  being  either  good  or  bad.  Why  is  it  not  evil  when  we  accidentally
bump   into   another?   Because   we   had   no   prior   knowledge   or   premeditation   to   do   so.   This   is   how   human
laws  are  governed,  and  Heavens  laws  are  no  different  (Romans  13:1).

To  reiterate,  given  the  choice  when  tempted  -‐  man  failed  the  test  immediately.  2/2  people.  100%  failure
rate.  So  it  can  be  established  then,  that  in  order  to  create  man  with  free  will,  God  had  to  give  man  the
option  to  do  that  which  would  result  in  evil  (Genesis  6:6).  The  result  did  not  take  God  by  surprise  however,
and   he   had   the   foreknowledge   to   know   that   creating   man   would   result   in   disobedience,   sin,   pain,
suffering,  war,  death,  illness,  and  ultimately  for  those  that  die  in  their  sin  -‐  eternal  separation  from  Himself
(Isaiah  46:10).

So  we’ve  established.  That  our  being  here  today,  right  now,  as  breathing  living  human  beings,  rests  upon
the  following  in  chronological  order:

1)   The  God-‐given  gift  of  free  will
2)   Gods  necessity  to  give  us  the  option  to  choose  to  know  good  and  evil
3)   Our  inevitability  in  choosing  to  know  good  and  evil
4)   Us  bearing  100%  responsibility  for  our  actions  as  a  result  of  knowing  what  good  and  bad  is

As   long   as   you’re   human,   wholly   conscious   (of   conscious   age,   non-‐disabled   etc.),   breathing,   and   reading
this  passage  right  here,  you  bear  the  full  responsibility  for  your  actions  are  not  exempt  from  the  penalty
of  sin,  which  is  eternal  separation  from  God  in  the  lake  of  fire.  This  is  where  sin  and  death  will  be  eternally
judged  by  God  (Isaiah  13:11;  Rev  20:10).

This  is  the  cost  of  free  will.  A  cost  that  God,  having  the  foreknowledge  of  what  would  happen  as  a  result
of   creating   man,   was   willing   to   pay   by   sending   his   son   as   proportion   for   our   sins   (Acts   2:23;   Gen   3:15;   1
Peter  1:20).  This  is  a  cost  that  God  was  willing  to  pay  to  establish  his  eternal  kingdom  in  the  heavens  with
other  likeminded,  eternal,  free-‐will  operated  beings.  This  is  the  cost  that  even  we  ourselves  are  willing  to
fight  for  tooth  and  nail  on  earth,  even  if  it  means  sacrificing  our  very  lives.  The  question  remains  however:

Will you exercise your free will to  and  choose  to freely spend eternity with God? By  forcing  your  hand,
God  would  negate  the  very  purpose  of  you  being  here,  which  is  in  hopes  that  use  your  free  will  to
choose  life.  You  yourself  have  power  of  your  destiny  and  must  bear  the  full  consequences  of  your
actions.  This is a decision you yourself must make.

The terms and conditions have been laid out. Unlike the Garden of Eden, the tables have turned. Now,
there  is only one tree that we can freely eat from, the Tree of Life - Jesus Christ. Our  faith  and  Him  and
obedience  to  the  word  of  God  washes  us  from  all  Sin.  The  penalty  has  been  paid.

The  Almighty  has  His  gaze  upon  you  as  you  read  this  eagerly  hoping  that  you,  out  of  your  free  will,
choose  Life.  The  angels  celebrate  in  heaven  over  one  repentant  sinner.  To  repent  means  to  completely
forsake  your  old  life  and  to  follow  God.  Will  you  set  some  fireworks  off  today?  It’s  God’s  will  for  every
person  to  exercise  their  free  will  in  choosing  Life.

I  sincerely  hope  to  meet  and  spend  eternity  with  you,  wilfully,  in  the  kingdom  of  heaven.  Will  you
choose  life?

God,  up  until  now,  I’ve  used  the  gift  of  life  and  free  will  that  you  gave  me  for  my  own
selfish  ways.  I  realise  now  why  things  are  the  way  they  are,  and  I  acknowledge  that  I  am
unfit  to  enter  the  kingdom  of  Heaven  without  the  blood  of  Your  Son,  Jesus  Christ,  which
washes  me  from  all  iniquity.  I’ve  followed  sin  for  too  long,  it  only  brings  death,  pain  and
suffering  into  the  world,  and  this  breaks  Your  heart  to  see.  I  therefore  testify  with  my
mouth,  that  your  son  Jesus  Christ,  will  be  Lord  over  my  life,  and  I  will  no  longer  exercise
my  free  will  to  follow  sin  and  the  Devil.  Help  me  Lord,  that  I  may  walk  in  Your
righteousness.  Cleanse  my  mind  from  darkness  and  give  me  the  gift  of  the  Holy  Spirit  that
is  able  to  guide  and  teach  me  into  all  Truth.  Thank  you  Lord  Jesus,  thank  you  Father  God,
for  freeing  me  from  sin  and  saving  my  soul  from  death.  In  Jesus  Mighty  Name,  Amen.

Your  questions  answered:

So,   what   does   it   mean   to   really   know   good   and   bad   if   we’re   not   taught?   This   is   governed   by   our
consciousness.  As  we  grow,  our  conscious  bears  witness  that  we  know  that  which  is  good  and  bad  without
being  taught  (Romans  2:15).  Swear  words,  fighting,  lying,  stealing;  many  of  us  can  remember  the  first  time
we  trespassed  in  each  of  these  regards.

For  example,  can  you  remember  hearing  adults  swear  and  just  knowing  that  it  was  wrong  to  say?  As  you
got  older  however,  you  started  to  say  bad  words  instinctually,  then  on  purpose  to  fit  in  with  the  world,
and  then  eventually  it  became  the  norm  -‐  the  lines  between  that  which  is  good  and  bad  suddenly  became
non-‐existent.  This  is  what  the  bible  refers  to  as  a  ‘hardened  heart’  or  a  ‘defiled  conscious’  (Titus  1:15;
Hebrews  3:13).

Will   life   get   easier   when   I   choose   to   follow   God?   Not   necessarily   to   begin   with.   By   forsaking   sin   and
choosing  to  follow  God,  you’re  forsaking  the  devil  as  one  of  his  followers.  You  have  now  become  enemy
#1  and  the  kingdom  of  darkness  will  do  everything  to  have  to  fall  back  into  sin  or  turn  from  God  (1  Peter
5:8-‐9).  Fear  not  however.  The  joy  in  God  cannot  be  matched  and  is  more  than  all  the  riches  in  the  world
and  there  is  glory  in  our  suffering  (Psalm  19:10;  1  Peter  1:7).

You’re  a  testimony  against  the  devil  and  his  angels  that  free  will  can  be  used  for  good,  therefore  ridding
them  of  any  excuse  for  the  decisions  they  themselves  made  (Revelation  12:11).  He  is  an  accuser  of  the
brethren  and  of  God,  and  for  this  reason  tries  to  put  enmity  between  ourselves  and  God  (Job  1:8-‐12).  The
prospect  of  spending  eternity  in  heaven,  when  they,  the  fallen  angels  and  satan  the  once-‐anointed  cherub,
will  spend  eternity  in  the  lake  of  fire,  means  that  the  kingdom  of  darkness  with  take  every  single  measure
to  see  as  many  souls  perish  as  possible  (Revelation  12:12).  God  is  the  only  one  that  can  protect  you  from
the  devil  (2  Thess  3:3;  Psalm  34:19).

If  life  is  Gods  way  of  determining  who  will  spend  eternity  in  His  kingdom,  when  will  it  all  end?  As  long
as  people  are  still  wilfully  choosing  life,  things  will  continue  (Gen  18:32).  At  this  hour,  the  kingdom  of
darkness  is  working  overtime  to  completely  eradicate  God  and  a  knowledge  of  God.  At  the  point  at  which
no  more  souls  are  being  saved,  the  plug  will  be  pulled  -‐  as  like  the  days  of  Noah  where  all  of  mankind  had
become   completely   corrupted   to   the   point   of   no   return   (Gen   6:5-‐8).   Based   on   biblical   prophecy   and
unction  from  the  Holy  Spirit,  many  believe  that  the  end  is  right  around  the  corner,  so  now  is  the  time  to
get  your  house  in  order  (Revelation  16:15;  Matt  25:10-‐13).  Soon  there  will  be  no  looking  back.

For  Muslims  who  claim  that  ‘original  sin’  is  an  evil  concept:  by  saying  that  God  created  us  the  way  we
are  with  the  capacity  to  sin,  this  makes  him  unrighteous  and  more  so,  it  goes  against  his  very  nature  as
being   wholly  perfect.   A   perfectly   righteous   God   gave  man  the   decision   to   exercise  his  own   free   will,   and
man  used  this  free  will  to  choose  to  know  good  and  evil.  God  originally  created  man  in  His  own  sinless
image,   but   after   the   fall,   man   was   then   born   with   the   sinful   nature   of   Adam,   who   we   ourselves   descend
from   (Genesis   5:1-‐3).   The   very   concept   of   God   creating   us   with   the   ability   to   do   evil   would   in   turn   make
God   himself   evil,   imperfect,   corrupt,   and   would   negate   his   position   as   the   Almighty.   The   question   lies
then;  who  are  you  serving?  (2  Corinthians  11:14).
