Christian Lifestyle

The Christian Life is just that—a life, not simply a set of rules. Sadly, maraming tao ngaun ang
nagkaron ng misconception about Christianity. Like :

- You are not allowed to do anything ‘’Fun”

For example Bawal sa church long hair sa lalake. Bawal sa church piercing sa dila at
ilong. Bawal ganyan ditto bawal ganyan don! Say it all! Bawal gala bawal Bar bawala
mag jowa page to ung edad.
- All you do as a Christian is go to church.
Many people refuse to become Christians because they are afraid that they will be
obliged to attend church all the time. The false idea that Christianity is mostly about
attending worship services once, twice, even three times per week.
Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it
is the gift of God.

But it doesn’t mean na gagawin na naten kung ano ung trending, or yung uso or yung
ginagawa ng lahat.

Because Christian Life is sabi sa:

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and
perfect will.
See? That is Christian Life. Choosing to make Jesus Christ the Lord of our life changes our
lifestyle dramatically. Ngayon Diba si Christ asa saten na. It doesn’t make are life stormless but
makes ourself stronger than storms. And of course Yung the way naten tignan ang mundo is
changed. Like:

 Conflicts are not resolved through power, but through prayer and forgiveness.
 Stress and worry are replaced with concern and focused prayer.
 Poverty and illness are not simply a curse to be avoided, but an opportunity for service
and generosity.
 Trials and obstacles not simply to be overcome, but God's way of testing our faith and
creating patience and hope in us.
 Failure and sinfulness are not causes for criticism and shame, but the opportunity to
know God's love and forgiveness.
 Finally, death is not to be feared and avoided at all costs, but for the Christians,
expected with the courage and confidence of one who will continue to live after death.
So This is it!
What does it take to have a Christian Lifestyle?
Communicate continually with God.
Of course hindi mabubuo ang relationship without communication. Same with God.
Communication is the fuel that keeps the fire burning, without it, your relationship gets cold. So
paano tayo makikipag communicate with God? Basic lang through prayers!
Jeremiah 29:12
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
See? God is one prayer away? He always there to listen sa lahat ng gusto mong sabihin. And I
also want to share to you that Prayer is a relationship not just a religious activity. In relationship
with God wag nyong hayaan mawala ang communication/prayers. Because when
communication starts to fade. Everything will follow.
Acknowledged the significance of the Holy Spirit
John 14 :26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all
things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
So just a background yung bible verse nayan is part of the last supper eto yung nagpaparamdam
na si Jesus na aalis na sya. Syempre as disciple naghisterical na So ayon sabi ni Jesus yang John 14
:26.
So ano ng aba yung ginagawa ng Holy Spirit sa ating buhay?
He gave us wisdom and knowledge. Especially when bible reading. Mahirap magbasa ng without
the guidance of the holy spirit. He guides is in our everyday life.
And most importantly, Holy Spirit tell us kung tama ba yung ginagawa naten or mali. Sya yung
nagcoconvict satin pag mali yung ginagawa naten.
Remember, Siya ung iniwan satin ni Jesus nung bumalik sya sa heaven. So yung presence na
nararanasan natin is the Holy Spirit.
Obey the will of our Heavenly Father.
Ano ba yung will ni Lord?
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, Declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.
See? Nothing to worry about. Promise ni Lord good things good future ganon. Pero hindi
mawawala ang hardship and trials. Pero lagi natin tatandaan growth comes through
persevering trials. So everytime na we face troubles andyan ang word ni God na Jeremiah
29:11. Not to comfort us na mawawala ung problema agad agad. Pero to give us confidence
that he will give us hope!
And of course obedience is a sign of respect to God.
Resisted temptation by steadfastness to the Word of God
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he
will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will
also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Temptation is normal. Because nasa mundo padin tayo. Of course tao tayo. Lahat tayo
makakaranas mattempt in any way. Pero always remember that binibigyan tayo ng temptation
not to be overpressed or ma destroy tayo. But God gives us grace sufficient to endure and stand
up under it, yea, to get the victory of it, to be more that conquerors, and triumph over it.
It’s just a test kung gano naten kamahal si Lord. Si Jesus na tempt sya pero hindi sya na fall into
sin. BECAUSE HE KNOWS GOD THAT HE SERVES.
Minsan din asa tao din yan! Alam mong mahina ka sa alak wag kana pumunta sa bar. May
girlfriend kana! Edi wag kana tumingin sa iba! Mabilis internet? Wag na mag incognito. Instead,
use internet to spread the word of God.
I know is hard because asa mundo tayo. Pero hindi ibigsabihin na hindi naten maachieve. All of it
can be achive by saturating yourself to God.
Reached out to those considered hopeless and sinners.
My opinion is always think that church is like an hospital. Hindi ito para sa mga perfect na tao or
para sa mga banal banalan ganon. Church is for the people who is sick spiritually.
Luke 5:32 (NLT)
I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners
and need to repent."
Sino yung mga sinners? Edi tayo! Pero by the grace of God nailigtas tayo. Pero paano ba tayo
naligtas? Of course by Jesus Christ. And im sure may malaking part dyan ang church. Well if hindi
kayang dalhin sa church. Why don’t we share the gospel ourselves? Paano na yung family
members nateng unbelievers? Or yung mga friends naten na spiritually broken. We know the
good news at bilang isang Christian lets spread the good news for everyone.
Served Others.
1 Peter 4:10
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of
God's grace in its various forms."
Last time diba talents yung shinare ni kuya bids. So whatever talents you received. Use it for the
glory of God.
Binigyan ka ng talent kumanta. Then sing for God
Talent for IT then use it for God
Talent for speaking. Then spread the good news!
Talent for interpersonal. Then manghikayat ka na pumunta sa church!
May rason kung bakit na sayo ang talent nayan kaya make sure na magagawa mo ung purpose.
And what’s the common denominator of it? Yun ay serving others and Letting God move their
lives through you.
Expansion of his kingdom.
Persevered in faith and love
Paano ba? Go back to basic!
Read your bible, Pray everyday, Journal, Devotion. Alam naten lahat to pero ang tanong ginagawa
ba naten.
Christianity is about following Jesus Christ Everyday! You can, however, discover who are the
Christians by the way they live, how they treat other people, and how they deal with this life here
on earth. When you observe or live the Christian lifestyle, you will see Christ Himself living and
acting in that person's life.
DIba? It shows evidence. Walang magagawa yung pagchurch mo kahit everyday pa! Kung iba
yung perspective mo sa pagpunta sa church. Church nanaman kailangan nanaman magising ng
umaga. Nako kailangan nananaman naten mag ayos ng upuan. DIba puro negatives. But for the
one who is truly following God. Church is blessing not a burden.
Para saan ang Christian Lifestyle?
To remain connected to God through Jesus Christ.
John 15:4
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you, unless you abide in me.
SI Lord, Lord sya kahit wala tayo. Pero tayo? Ano tayo pag wala si Lord. WALA! A life that’s cut
off from God withers and dies -- physically as well as spiritually.
Physically – He provide everything para mabuhay ka. walang hangin, pagkain, lupa, tubig
Spiritually – Hirap maging spiritually dead. Its so hard when you have nothing to lean on. DIba
pano kung hindi naten alam ang bible. Pano kung di tayo marunong mag pray. Pano pag walang
Diyos na nag gagabay saten sa pang araw araw natin. HIRAP PAG WALA SI LORD !

To remain faithful through persecution and to resist false doctrine

Gaya ng temptation. Persecution normal yan para saten. Asa mundo tayo eh. Kaya andyan ang
holy spirit para I guide tayo. Kaya andyan ang bible para maging manual naten sa buhay. Kaya
may cellgroup. Para mas mapalawak pa ang kaalaman naten at maging strong pa ung relationship
naten kay Lord by listening to other’s how God move their lives. Our task is to tell the good news
for everyone. Well hindi lahat ng tao tatanggapin yon

2 Timothy 3:12 ESV

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

John 15:18 ESV

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.

Pero what’s important is na gawa mo ung task mo and naipamahagi mo ng salita ng Diyos.

To present the Good News to a lost world

Mark 16:15-16

And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole
creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will
be condemned.
Syempre, yan naman ang purpose naten bilang Christian right? Kaso pano maniniwala sayo if
ikaw mismo hindi mo nagagawa magpaka Christian. Magpaka Christian hindi dahil sa religion
Pero Christian dahil kay Christ. Malay mo ikaw pala yung gagamitin ni Lord upang maligtas si
ganyan or si ganyan or yung family. At magagawa mo yun if you let God moved in your life. You
know there are people na walang bible or kung meron man hindi binabasa. So let us be the
walking bible. Or the living testimony. Once na nagapproach nayan sayo it’s a sign na there
something into you. Pasakan mo na agad ng word!

To conclude:

What are the outward and inward evidence of a Christian lifestyle? You can present an outward
appearance of holiness daily and still serve as a poor Christian witness.

7 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed

tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead
and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous
but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Pero sinabi sa !

Galatians 5:24-25 New International Version (NIV)

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and

desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
To live as a Christian requires having the character of Christ. A transformation must occur, as a
result of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling (Galatians 5:24-25).
