5. Weather patterns = is referring repeating weather. It is common for the weather to become
locked in a repeating pattern.
The increase of the temperature tends to make an extreme change to the weather patterns and
leads to the climate change
6. Coral reefs = limestone formations produced by living organisms,
found in shallow, tropical marine waters.
As the ice on the north pole and south pole melts continuously,the habitat of native animals
such as polar bears and penguins will eventually gone, another habitat of animals that will also
dissapear is the coral reefs,which is the habitats of more than 1000 species of troical fish
7. Rice paddy = an irrigated or flooded field where rice is grown
When organic matters is broken down by bacteria under oxygen-starved conditions (anaerobic
decomposition) as in rice paddies, methane is produced.
8. Reflected = To throw or bend back (light or sound, for example) from a surface
When it reaches the ground, the light is reflected back to the sky, but the medium make it

Global warming cannot be prevented. But there are some ways to reduce the damage, for
example do the 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) that can help to reduce the amout of municipal
waste planting trees because its the one and only living things that can reduce carbon dioxide
gas, reduce the emission of the fossil fuel by using public transportation.
