GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING LABORATORY REPORT FOR CEG453

The laboratory reports should consist of the following items:

No. Item Explanation


1. Introduction The introduction should provide a brief definition on the
terminologies that are related to the lab works.

2. Problem Statement Problem Statement should consist of the following items:

i) General situation related to that laboratory works

ii) Specific condition related to that laboratory works

iii) Why it is necessary to conduct that laboratory works

For OEL3, students should be able to write their own Problem


Statement.

3. Objectives For OEL3, students should be able to write their own objectives.

4. Apparatus List of apparatus should be included in report, providing photo


with name of the apparatus.

5. Procedure Procedures that need to be included in report are procedures


conducted in that particular laboratory works.

Students should present the procedure in sketch form


(handwritten graphics with caption).

For OEL2 & OEL3, students should be able to write their own
procedure.

6. Data, Results & (Raw) data is measurement that is obtained directly from
Analysis experiment.

Results are required value for performing related analysis. In


some experiments, data might be equal to results.

Analysis is derived from results using necessary formulas, tools,


etc.

For OEL1, OEL2 & OEL3, students should be able to perform


their own analysis.

7. Discussion Students should provide discussion based on synthetization


(combination) of analysis from laboratory works and information
from relevant literature.

8. Conclusions Student should provide conclusions based on objectives.
