Artifact #8: Cyber Safety and Digital Citizenship Prezi Presentation.

Why did you include this artifact?

The Cyber Safety and Digital Citizenship Prezi Presentation I created demonstrates the

importance and dedication I hold towards becoming an educator that embodies and represents

the highest teacher standards and ethical practices. This project also showcases my content

knowledge on cyber safety and digital citizenship, and how I will responsibly teach students and

their parents/guardians on these subject matters.

How does this artifact show evidence that you are prepared for a career in education?

My presentation was created for the parents/guardians of the students, just as much as it

was created for the students themselves. This demonstrates the importance I place on having

healthy relationships with the students parents/guardians so I can promote and encourage their

involvement and support in their student’s academic journey in and out of the classroom.

My presentation is incredibly comprehensive, interactive and engaging because I wanted

to ensure that the viewers remained interested and would retain the incredibly important

information that was being shared. My hope is that artifact #8 is evidence of my dedication to

being a teacher who practices and teaches with care and integrity, and always teaches with the

purpose of having the student’s best interest and well-being as the sole focus.

In addition, I also chose my Cyber Safety and Digital Citizenship Prezi Presentation to

showcase my commitment towards professional development and ongoing learning as an

educator. Throughout the development of this project I obtained a Digital Citizenship Certificate

through Netsmartz, and as a result I’m allowed access to incredible resources and information

that I was able to share in my presentation and will use in future lessons.

What curriculum and professional standards were used?
