HOTEL DESCRIPTION
Raffles Maldives Meradhoo is set in the Gaafu Alifu
Atoll, South Maldives, and is surrounded by natural
splendour. After undergoing significant renovations
the resort will re-open as a Raffles branded
property in November 2018, joining the iconic
collection of Raffles hotels and resorts.
The property is located at a 55-minute flight from
Male’ international airport followed by a 15-minute
speed boat ride from Kaadedhdhoo domestic
airport.
The resort presently boasts 21 island villas and 16
ocean villas with private pools, three restaurants, a
scenic cocktail bar and an array of facilities and
activities to relax, rejuvenate and reinvigorate the
body, mind and spirit. These include an award
winning luxury spa, private dining options, 24-hour
butler and private chef service.
The hotel has well-appointed leisure facilities with
fully equipped over-the-water fitness center, spa,
swimming pool and a diving center.
MISSION (Role Overview)
• Assists in overseeing the economical,
efficient and reliable operation of hotel
utilities. Applies engineering principles and
practices in the attainment of optimum
efficiency, heat rates, reliability and safety in
the conduct of operating hotel facilities.
• Utilizes best practice engineering methods to
provide expert technical guidance for
engineering initiatives.
• Incorporates all functions related to safety
testing, repair, and maintenance of all
equipment used in an organization.
• This role also involves providing training and
technical leadership to appropriate personnel
regarding equipment operations, standards,
and maintenance.
• The w ork description entails examining
technology, resources at hand, and market
demands in order to have good know ledge of
w hether a particular proposed project is
practicable, or if w hen started could be
achieved.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering,
industrial engineering, building management, or in
other related fields.
• Previous experience in a similar function from a top
end luxury island resort.
• Excellent leadership skills

• Excellent Organizational Skills
