Second Saturday Bird Walk Report

Location:​​ Trails around Rocky River Nature Center, Rocky River Reservation, 
Cleveland Metroparks, 24000 Valley Pkwy, North Olmsted, OH 44070

Results:​​ 17 Birders and 20 Species
Description: ​On the November walk we had 17 brave souls attend. It was 24 degrees with a
little wind. The sun popped out several times. It was a typical November walk with 20 species.
The normal local birds were observed by all. We had 2 Fox sparrows.The highlight was a
Red-tailed hawk perched directly over the trail about 25 feet high. We were able to walk
directly below the hawk, pass by the hawk and continue the walk with him carefully watching
us. Great views at all angles.​ -​ Report by Bill Deininger.
