What is ServiceNow?

ServiceNow is a cloud-
based platform deployed
in a browser that contains
applications and data that
can vary by instance and
user, automating common
business processes

What is the ServiceNow Instance?
An instance is a single implementation of the ServiceNow platform
• Independent, changeable, and highly configurable
• Not shared with other ServiceNow customers (single-tenant)
• Each instance has applications
• Each instance has customer data that can be exchanged between instances
• Upgrades are made on individual instances
