1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal).

Through my last observation, I did in semester six. I found one of the teaching to work for the next
lesson is practice speaking before I start teaching to children in the classroom and correct my
language in speaking.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)

The strategies I used to practice my goal. First, I will write the steps what I will do in the class in
details in the sheet. Second, I will make a practice speaking in my home and before start the lesson to
avoid and achieve this goal when I teaching children in the classroom.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)

The evidence I can see if I achieve my goal when I reserved the MCT and MST evaluation feedback
after the lesson.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

I will welcome children in the classroom. By say Good morning, who are you today.

Let’s review the classroom rules. Which are:

- Be kind to everyone.

- Listen when the teacher is talking to you.

- Be the best that you can be.

- A tidy desk and a tidy floor.

- Give visitors a lovely welcome.

- In the playground play nicely and mix.

After that, I will show children the video about letter P- jolly phonics.

Before start show them the video. I will describe to children what they see. By say

What it is the color is the cake? What it is the animal in the cake?

The national animals in UAE is a camel, and it lives in the desert. So, it’s a Pink- Pig- cake. Repeat after me,

Now, let’s listen to this song.

Guess to me what is the letter we will learn today? And what it is the sound?

But wait doesn’t say the letter and the sound if you know, keep it in your mind and raise your hand.

After that, let’s sing. First, the children will sing a song alone. And the second time I will sing with children
together.

So, how can you tell me, what it is the letter of the day? It is (Pp).

I will say to children great. Tell to your friends and tell your other friends.

After that, I will play with the children games. I will stack the different
pictures that start with different letters (A, C, and P) in the board. And I
required to children to club their hand If they see the picture start with
sound P.

After that, I will remove the picture that doesn’t start with sound P from
the board. After that, I will say the name of each picture

With the sound and lets, children repeat after me.

Then, I will show them the model how they can write the letter P on the board.
First, I will show them the steps. Then, I call some of the children to come in the whiteboard and write the
small and big letter P.

Then, I will explain each activity in front of the classroom by showing them the model and let them go back
to their chair.

Active Engagement (group working with the teacher)

Name of the activity: Writing the letter P.

What will teacher does:

It will be at the writing table.

- Provide the children books.

- Require from children to write their name and date in the top of the page.

- Require from children to hold the pencil nicely.

- Require from children to write a big and small letter P in the right way.

What will children do?

- Take their book, write their name and the data.

- Hold the pencil nicely.

- Start write the big and small letter P.

I will sit with this group and evaluate their understanding the concept by using the checklist and
writing notes.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Name of the activity: make the letter p with clay.

What does the teacher do?

- I require to children sitting in the char.


- Provide the different color of clay.
Time: 15 min

- Require children to make the letter P with clay.


What do children do?
Small

- Sit in their place.


- Each child will take one color of clay.
- Start doing the big and small letter P.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)

Name of the activity: make the puppy with color paper.


What does the teacher do?

- Require for children to sit in their place.


- Provide the materials in the table which are color paper, glue, eye goggles, and pencil.
- The teacher will show them the model of how to do the craft and art puppy shape.
The steps are:
- Take the pencil and write their name on the top of the page.
- Take the letter P and stack it in the pink paper by using the glue.
Then, but the part of the puppy shapes which is eye goggles, ear, hand, leg, nose, and tail.
What do the children do?

- Sit in their place.


- See the materials in the table.
- Take the panicle to write their name.
- Start follow the steps to make a puppy shape.

Independent Experience(small group activity 3)

Name of the activity: Print your hand in letter P.


What does the teacher do?

- Require for children to sit in their place.


- See the materials in the table which are washable paint, plate, and a big poster that
include the letter P.
- The teacher will put the washable paint in the plate.
- The teacher will require from children to trace their hand in the plate and put it in the big
poster that includes the letter P.
What do the children do?

- Sit in their place.


- See and use the materials.
- Start follow the steps and trace their hand in a big poster that includes the letter P.

What does the teacher do?

- Call children to clean up and return materials in right place.

- Require from children to go back to their place.

- Ask questions for children what they learned from the new lesson about letter C.

Such as: What was the letter for today? And what it is the sound of it.

Assessment

I will assessment children work by using the formative assessment plan which makes a checklist and writing notes
while children doing the activity. In addition, recode children work by taking a photo of their work.
