The jewish culture is basically- patriarchal..
In the bible there are only few mention of female, most of what is mention are males..

In the colonial era .. we become patriarchal
It is because of the Spaniards and because of the Catholicism
Woman – home maker, not studying as such..

So the creativity, the talents, of woman is overshadowed by men.

But today we see it differently.

Women now are the church builders. Without the woman churches would be empty.

Mary as the icon of the feminine genius means that mother Mary is the example of how should
one be a female.

The "feminine genius" includes qualities such as that of receptivity, emphasis on the
person, empathy, protection of life, and sanctity and modesty, among others. Each of
these qualities serves to strengthen and enliven the feminine character, and should
serve to be inspirational and uplifting, and should in no way be hidden or repressed. [5]

Characteristoc of Mother Mary

1. Responds to the situation of the time – She responded to the
situation by answering Yes to the call of God of being the Mother
of Jesus. Being a Jew she knows, the situation of the Jews

2. Courage- with her awareness of the consequences of her

answer she still responded Yes to the call.

3. Humility – accepting that she is a servant of God

4. Optimistic – Mother Mary trusted the Angel and believes that if
God is really with Her then God will provide her needs.
She did not reason out or no but’s.

2. Foresight – she saw that Elizabeth will suffer because of old

Age

3. Mapagkalinga – comfort Elizabeth in her situation

1. Understanding – she understand the words of our lord

2. Patience – did not get angry to Jesus Christ because she

understands his son’s attitude.
