Lesson Plan

I. Course description: This lesson plan is designed for diverse students of the high

school level. It will incorporate a dynamic way to conform to each learning modality

to meet the standards of gifted, learning disabled, and second language learners.

II. Objective: The objective of this course is to identify alternative learning styles such

as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic modalities by determining the most dominant form

of learning. This presentation’s purpose is to convey the students that is essential that

each style of learning should be applied in a class room.

III. Teacher procedures: The teacher will display, educate, and preform each style of

learning while examining which is the most dominant one.

 State objective to the class: The objective of this course is to identify and

determine alternative learning styles such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic

modalities and to determine by putting their own dominant or preferred style

to the test.

 Introduce Power point presentation:

o Slide 1- Learning styles: perceptions and modalities

o Slide 2- Introduce 3 main learning styles

o Slide 3- VAK theory- Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic combined

o Slide 4: Retention rate learning pyramid

o Slide 5: 9 forms of intelligence

IV. Student activities: Students will identify their own learning style and define and

incorporate other styles of learning for a more unique and dynamic understanding the

material by observing examples in action, then being evaluated.

V. Closure: of the several styles of learning there is definitely a preferred type. The

theory is that it’s is essential for students to evaluate and apply each modality for an

overall understanding of the material. Visualizing, listening, and preforming is the

key to acquiring knowledge in a diverse environment.

VI. Evaluation: Students will be verbally and manually evaluated in identifying.
