DO Certificate Upgrade Bootable Media Readme

* General

This CD Disc/USB key contains tools to upgrade SecureLink/RMS certificate
files.
The new certificates are valid until 2020.

CD Disc also contains the USB key disk image under USBKEY folder.
Use ddimg.exe to restore the disk image to a blank USB flash disk.

For DV6850 imagers, please read the instructions in


'Instructions for Using Certificate Upgrade Bootable USB Key on DV6850.doc'
under doc folder.
If the 6850 BIOS is v1.0, follow the instructions in the above manual.
Otherwise read the following procedures.

Insert the media, CD disc or USB key into the DO product.


Power-cycle the DO product.
The bootable media will start up Windows PE.
The system will emit one short tune.
The upgrade will be automatically deployed.
If the upgrade is SUCCESSFUL �C the system will emit endless 1-short-beeps.
If the upgrade is FAILED - the system will emit endless high-low-alarm-beeps.
For CD disc, remove CD disc and power-off system.
For USB key, power-off system and remove USB key.

Log files are saved on USB key (X:) or on hard disk (C:\ or D:\).

Use GNU sed.exe (version 4.0.7) to replace the 'StringReplace.exe'.
'StringReplace.exe' does not function properly under CDROM environment
and has bugs in string manipulation.
Added log files on USB key (X:) or on hard disk (C:\ or D:\).
Changed PATCHID to '1.1.0UpdteCertFile'.
