Assignment-2
1. Draw diagrams of feedforward (FF), Feedback (FB), FF-FB, FB-Cascade, and FF-FB-Cascade
configuration of a typical bio-product manufacturing process operation.

2. Distinguish among supervisory control, scheduling computer control, Microprocessor based control and
DCS structurally.

3. Draw the sketches of ratio control, split range control, types of selective control and any of their
combinations.

4. Show the DDC with single loop as well as multiloop systems

5. Draw flow diagram of analog and digital, feedback, feedforward, FF-FB control of heat exchanger, stirred
tank heater, jacketed stirred tank reactor for exothermic reaction, Jacketed continuous stirred tank reactor
for endothermic reaction. FF-FB for drum boiler, FF-FB for level, FF-FB control at top and bottom of
distillation column, an FF-FB temperature control of jacketed kettle, FF-FB for multiple effect evaporator,
and FF-FB for Extraction Column.
