Tracey Concrete offer a diverse range of Cable Trough Systems designed to protect and hold any
necessary utility services. Manufactured from reinforced precast concrete, cable troughs are a great
alternative to traditional methods of simply burying service lines as they allow quick access for maintenance
and
security.

Electrical, Power Station, Waste Water & sewage, Highway, Rail and Domestic are all just some applications for

Trafficking Application Classes CharconSpecialist
Products offers a rangeoflidstosuitallyourtrafficking
application needs. Each lid has the
necessary lifting inserts to facilitate lifting
when accessing the ducts at a future date.
Trafficking Application Classes are as
follows:
Light Duty
For use in private driveways and grassed areas
e.g. parkland maintained with mowing
equipment. Maximum wheel loading of two
tonnes.
Medium Duty Units have been subjected to test loads
from 15kN (pedestrian) up to 400kN
For use in car parks and access roads

Installation Procedure
The recommended installation procedure is as follows:-
1. Prepare bed or foundation to suit ground conditions and loading.
2. Position trough to line and level.
3. Abut the next trough, the flat end face against the
installed end face. Bed and level the unit to
suit.
4. Haunch or back fill as required.
5. Repeat the procedure to form the required duct length.
6. Install the service within the duct.
7. Position the lids in each duct unit, ensuring
that there is exactly two No. per duct.
8. The units should be satisfactorily sealed using proprietary sealants
which are available from the Charcon Sales Office. Telephone 01455 288275.
