Halili-Garbo:The Political History of Mabalacat

During 1986 up to present

Objectives

This paper focuses on the political history of mabalacat in the time of

the POST-EDSA. It aims to (a) What are the contributions of the former
mayor of mabalacat; (b) What are the contributions of the present mayor of
mabalacat; (c) What is the difference of the former and present
administration in contributing in the progress of mabalacat.

I. Introduction

In every country there is one person who leads it. It is very important to
have a leader to manage a country. Political system in a one country is
very significant to appoint different officials in a government.
In Mabalacat there is one mayor who attained such a history for the
longest administration for being mayor in a city, for 22 years, Former
Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales. Mayor Morales amazingly re-elected in many
consecutive years and in how many years of being mayor he converted the
mabalacat as a city. But for 22 years of being mayor in Mabalacat, Mayor
Morales was disqualified, by charge of corruption, vote buying and ballot
burning.
This Paper strives to study about political history of Mabalacat in 1986
up to present. To identify the contributions of every mayor in the cityt.
The modern mabalaqueno can learn about the development and history of
Mabalacat.

II. Significance of the Study

Politics is an essential constituent in the history of a certain area.

People are highly affected by this societal aspect.

This research is an analytical study about the political history of the

Former and Present Mayor. Through examining the development of their
political career, the study will acquaint and apprise the readers
regarding the politically-inclined capacities of the past administration
and the present administration. Also, through identifying the succession
of family members, the research will familiarize the Mabalaquenos
regarding the personalities who governed their city. And lastly, through
citing the reasons for their tedious reigning, the study will provide
enlightenment to the locals as to what are the development and
contributions of the former and present mayor of mabalacat
III. Research Questions

The following questions will serve as the focal points of this study:
a) What are the contributions of the former mayor of Mabalacat?
b) What are the contributions of the present mayor of Mabalacat?
c) What is the difference of the former and present administration in
contributing in the progress of mabalacat?

IV. Methodology

In administering this social science research, the researchers used the

method Pantayong Pananaw of Dr. Zeus Salazar, in gathering, interpreting,
analyzing and evaluating data.
Pantayong Pananaw helped the researchers in demystifying the views and
perceptions of the Mabalaquenos towards the progress of Mabalacat in the
POST-EDSA.
With the use of this method, the researchers were able to explain and
expound the ideas in ways where readers will easily understand the key
information.

All data provided in this paper are all products and were based on the
thoughts of the locals in the locality. Since Pantayong Pananaw conveys
the concept "from us to us" as a way transferring information, it served
as a smoother bridge for the researchers to acquaint the readers about the
matters they are discussing, for the ideas are highly relatable and
relevant.
