CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Banner University Medical Center (STICU)-Tucson –August- September 2018
Focus: Comprehensive Nursing Experience in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit
 Provided complete care for high acuity patients in surgical trauma, cardiac and neurological ICU
for patients with conditions including gunshot wounds, traumatic brain injuries cardiac failure
and respiratory failure of various etiologies.
 Gained experience in monitoring and managing EVD’s, caring for intubated patients with
various ventilator settings, titrating intravenous sedatives, analgesics and vasopressors to
maintain the overall stability of patients, managing dialysis patients with CRRT and working with
the donor network.
 Developed and honed basic nursing skills essential for effective and timely care, especially in an
intensive care setting, such as cluster care, SBAR communication, delegation of hygiene and
comfort care tasks and incorporation integrative nursing principles that promote holistic care.

Focus: Pediatric Care and High Acuity Care
 Performed focused assessments based on condition and admitting diagnosis for clients in the
intensive care units.
 Developed care plans for various acute and chronic conditions such as pneumonia, sepsis,
subdural hemorrhaging, leukemia and chronic and acute kidney failure.
 Performed blood draws, wound care, airway suctioning, and intravenous push medication
administration.
 Learned the relevance and usage of EKGs, ABGs, and essential electrolyte lab values.

Tucson Medical Center- August-October 2017


Focus: Obstetrics and Couplet Care
 Performed postpartum assessments on mothers to monitor for hemorrhaging and other
complications following delivery.
 Developed care plans based on the physical and psychological needs of the mother and child
couplet during the period following delivery.
 Developed Care plans for clients in the adult population with various conditions such as COPD,
GI bleeding, chronic heart failure, cellulitis and many more.
 Learned about the purpose and use various medical equipment including cardiac monitors,
suction equipment and nebulizers and gained experience with medication administration and
venipuncture.

Southern Arizona VA – January –April 2017


Focus: Basic Nursing Care and Geriatrics
 Performed full body assessments and identified abnormalities from baseline of health.
 Developed plans of care for clients with chronic conditions commonly found in geriatric
populations such as diabetes, hypertension, slow healing wounds and infection.
