CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Banner University Medical Center (STICU)-Tucson –August- September 2018
Focus: Comprehensive Nursing Experience in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit
Provided complete care for high acuity patients in surgical trauma, cardiac and neurological ICU
for patients with conditions including gunshot wounds, traumatic brain injuries cardiac failure
and respiratory failure of various etiologies.
Gained experience in monitoring and managing EVD’s, caring for intubated patients with
various ventilator settings, titrating intravenous sedatives, analgesics and vasopressors to
maintain the overall stability of patients, managing dialysis patients with CRRT and working with
the donor network.
Developed and honed basic nursing skills essential for effective and timely care, especially in an
intensive care setting, such as cluster care, SBAR communication, delegation of hygiene and
comfort care tasks and incorporation integrative nursing principles that promote holistic care.
