Standard 1: Learning Purpose and Connections I will create a voki; with voki I will create an anime character that will explain
 What strategies will help students make connections to previous learning? everything that will happen that day in my classroom. The voki will be about 3
 How will students know the purpose and relevance of the lesson? minutes long and will summarize the lesson and why it’s important and how
 How will students build their current knowledge? we can integrate it into life lessons or life skills. With that, the students will
kind of get a picture of what is going to happened and relate to their previous
Algebra knowledge.

Standard 2: Learning Tasks and Cognitive Demands To challenge their knowledge, I will create a small 10-15 minute Quizlet to see
 What Depth of Knowledge levels will students experience in the learning tasks? how much information they have actually observed and how they can
 How will students be supported to experience deeper learning? accurately and quick they can apply those skills and use them. After every
 How will students be challenged to advance their thinking and skills? question I will go over the answer, the questions on Quizlet will not be too
challenging, in fact they will be quite easy, it’s just to see how far and fast my
students got the hang of it.
Standard 3: Engagement To go over the lesson and to make my students interact, I will create a
 How will students develop their skills in argumentation, explanation, and critique, using POWTOON. A powtoon is similar to a voki but it is by far more interesting.
logic/evidence to support or refute a claim or position? Since by this time I will have learned about Powtoon, the video will go over
 How will students use multiple representations of concepts in their thinking? (i.e., graphic the lesson, over the algebra equations and answers. Throughout the video I
organizers, visuals, drawings, concept maps, videos, simulations, data formats) will pause and make my students turn to their partners and talk for 2 minutes
 What opportunities will students have to use their personal experiences and knowledge to about the information we discussed and if there are any questions they might
connect to the new concepts and skills? have that the partner might be able to answer. After the 2 minutes if there is
 How will students collaborate with each other? still any confusion (for the next 3 minutes) we will discuss the questions. This
is how my students will create and develop their algebraic skills, while
interaction with each other and collaborating.

Standard 4: Student Understanding of and Responsibility for Learning Students will share their progress through answer garden where I will ask a
 How will students know the learning goals, the performance criteria and purpose of the question like “how can you add this to a real life event?” or “describe what
lesson? you learned in one word.”
 How will students share their progress?
 How will students be supported in revising their learning strategies based on their progress?
