My expectations
Positive reinforcement: Implant this approach by praising children by saying “good job, 4
excellent, etc.”, request children to clip their hand for the child also or give children happy
face or star when they did anything good like answer questions, follow the classroom rules
etc. to encourage children to repeat same attitude. As Skinner said, “Behavior which is
reinforced tends to be repeated” (McLeod, 2018).
Model behavior: By showed children a right behavior in front of them so, they have the
opportunity to observe the behavior and turned to imitate it. According to Bandura “child had
the ability to perform the behavior that the model has just demonstrated.” (Shirley & Peter,
2011, p. 53).
Establish routines: create a daily routine and set up the schedule which indicate what class
dose children have in each period. For instance, at 10:00 they have math class. Routines is
assist all teachers to make the class run smoothly and make sour that no time wasted when the
children wonder what they should be doing during times of transition between activities.
Rehearse transitions: There are multiple methods to apply this technique. Firstly, line up by
request children to line up to move from area to other or from class to other class. Secondly,
tide up which ask student to clean up and return the materials back to keep the class tide.
Individual dry erase board strategy: Provide boards, markers and eraser 5
and give each child. Ask children questions and request them to write their
Formative assessment
files with their name, grade and child photo in the cover page. The files
consider a place to save and collect student work which includes their
worksheet, homework and draw. The files will be in a safe corner in the
classroom. (Egan, 2014, p. 3).
Quiz: A short test that include questions to test students understanding over
certain period.
Assessment Strategies:
6
1- Send Letters: I used to use this strategy to tell parent what their
children have and keep families aware of what children doing.
Nevertheless, I use letter to take parent approval for children
participation and going to trips. (DiJohn, 2005, pp. 23).
Do mathematics activity together: have fun with numbers to develop your child
math skills.
Here are some tips to do mathematical activity with your child:
1- Ask your child to find numbers in the home. For instance, from a clock.
2- Ask your children to count. For example, in kitchen ask him to count
how many eggs? (Education, 2005).
